Household Liquidity Measurement: A New Approach

Over the past several years, policymakers have been focused on household liquidity because of the global pandemic, inflationary pressures, and unprecedented monetary tightening. However, there are few tools for monitoring household liquidity. This brief presents a new measure of household liquidity that can better inform policymakers on household financial conditions (Brief no. 24-03).
