2024 PhD Symposium

We hosted our annual PhD Symposium on November 1, 2024, in Washington, D.C. Registration was required and began in September.
The PhD Symposium is an opportunity for upper-year PhD candidates to receive constructive feedback on their work from economists and other subject-matter experts from the OFR and certain Financial Stability Oversight Council member agencies. We consider papers on topics related to financial stability and authored by students currently enrolled in a U.S. PhD program.
The topics covered included:

- Asset pricing bubbles and tail risk
- Financial markets and market structure
- Interconnectedness of financial institutions and contagion risk
- Investment managers and risk management
- Financial risks of climate change
- Digital assets
